Apprentice Machinist (Macclesfield)

The company:

Illingworth Ingham is a highly successful independent Timber merchant with branches across the northwest.

The role:

We have a vacancy for a full time Apprentice Machinist at our branch in Macclesfield. As a member of our Windmill Street Team you will be responsible for fulfilling all of the machining requirements of the branch.

We have a mill on site which is well equipped with a number of machines including a spindle moulder, band re saw and planer thicknesser.

We will provide full training, this role may suit a college/university leaver who is interested in stating a career in woodworking, is self-motivated with a can-do attitude and someone who works as part of a team and independently

Your Apprenticeship: L2 Wood Machining (Inc Heavyside)

• No experience required – Full training will be provided.
• The modules covered will support your self awareness and customer service skills, develop your knowledge in Measuring, marking out , tooling, cutting and planning, With practical assessment and observations of machining usage.

Your work hours:

Monday to Thursday 07.45 – 17.00 / Friday 07:45 – 16.30 & Alternate Saturdays 08:00am – 12.30pm

Salary:

£16,758.00-£21,000.00 per year
