Job Description
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Manufacturing Sales Apprentice.
The Role:
The role of the manufacturing sales apprentice will include a broad spectrum of duties/responsibilities predominantly working within the sales and product manufacturing environments to achieve the best experience and knowledge of the business. These duties are expected to be split in blocks at a time, e.g. 3 weeks sales office, 2 weeks manufacturing. Working within other departments within the business will also be necessary to support with ‘off the job training’ and overall development towards the Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship standard/training.
Sales Duties/Experience:
• Answering customer calls and processing requests
• Sales order processing — using the current in-house system
• Administration of current projects
• Accurately collect and record customer information including customer interactions
• Chase outstanding quotations and enquiries
• Liaising with relevant departments to ensure projects are completed in full and on time
• All work is completed in line with company policy and legislative requirements
Manufacturing Duties/Experience:
• Maintenance checks
• Housekeeping
• Ensure all products are properly presented for delivery
Other Duties/Experience:
• Order picking/getting to know the products — Timber Sales
• Treatment of timber products — Treatment Tank
• In house training courses
Skills/Attributes Required:
• Attention to detail
• Experience with word, outlook & Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Prioritising workload/working to deadlines
