Role: Senior Branch Manager / General Manager / Branch Director

Salary: £50,000-£70,000 (negotiable) plus £25k bonus plus car plus career

Location: East London / Essex

We are recruiting a key position for our client – one of the UK’s leading distributors of construction supplies and building materials, insulation and interiors products.

We are recruiting a Senior Branch Manager / Branch Director / General Manager with trade sector experience working within the building materials / construction supplies sector.  Builders Merchants, Distributors or Manufacturers.

Our client is the UKs leading distributor of building materials with a network of branches nationwide.

What’s the opportunity?
You will be running a large 40+ person operation with a turnover of £30m.  This is the Flagship operation and is a critical role for our client.  The branch is a successful brand that is currently performing ahead of target.

Working closely with your Management Team and Area Directors, as Branch Manager / General Manager your role is to continually improve the processes, operations and margins within the branch, as well as developing a highly customer focused, results driven team.

We need to find someone with experience managing a large team and large budget.  Coming from the construction supplies or building materials sector is not essential.  What is important is the PERSON.  Someone who is commercially astute and very people focused but also with experience of maintaining a high level of Health & Safety.  Someone running the operations of a similar sized branch is what is key – logistics, operations, health & safety, compliance, man management.

Horizon gazing and strategic planning.

Our client is looking for a truly dynamic Manager who excels at building and developing strong and profitable commercial relationships.  Who will take ownership of the position and looked at a long term business plan, horizon gazing and succession planning.
